Ben Affleck’s Next Directing Project

Since Ben Affleck’s directional debut, “Gone Baby Gone”, we’ve been waiting to see what he will direct next and now something might have come up for him.

“The Arizona Project”, a film about the death of a journalist named Don Bolles and the events that unfolded afterwards. Bolles was a reporter for the Arizona Republic in 1976 and was blown up in his car while looking into political corruption and the convergence of New York. After his death a group of Journalists, Investigative Reporters and Editors launched a crusade to finish Bolles’ work.

Matchstick Men producer Sean Bailey found the story and brought it to Affleck and Sheldon Turner (“The Longest Yard”) who has written the screenplay.
