Nicolas Cage Takes the Top Spot

Los Angeles – The three new releases out this weekend took the top three spots at the box office.
The Nicolas Cage disaster movie “Knowing”, from Summit Entertainment, easily took the top spot bringing in $24.8 million.
The comedy “I Love You, Man” starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel came in second with $18 million, while Julia Roberts’ and Clive Owen’s new movie “Duplicity” faired the worst of the new releases taking third with $14.4 million.
The fourth spot went to last week’s winner, Disney’s “Race to Witch Mountain” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, coming in at $13 million to make a ten day total of $44.7 million. Finally, rounding out the top five was Warner Bros.’
“The Watchmen”, which in its third week brought it $6.7 million for a total so far of almost $100 million.
