Vanessa Redgrave Added to Cast of Robin Hood

Los Angelees – According to Hollywood.com, another big name has been added to Ridley Scott’s “Robin Hood”.
Actress Vanessa Redgrave will be starring as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, the mother of King John, who will be played by Oscar Isaac (“Body of Lies”).
Redgrave won’t be the only one joining the cast, Lea Seydoux (“Inglorious Bastards”), a French actress, will play Princess Isabella, the woman who eventually becomes Queen.
The star studded cast includes Russell Crowe (Robin Hood/Sheriff of Nottingham), Cate Blanchett (Maid Marian), Kevin Durard (Little John) and Mark Strong (Sir Godfrey).
This version of “Robin Hood” will follow Robin Hood’s life from his days serving in King Richard’s army to his return to Nottingham and the formation of his band of mercenaries who will challenge the Sherriff and try to prevent the Civil War.
The production for “Robin Hood” was originally supposed to start in August of last year but was bumped until July of this year and the film is due out in May of next year.
