Casey Aldridge Charged in Single Car Crash

Los Angeles РCasey Aldridge, fianc̩ of actress and singer Jamie Lynn Spears, was formally charged in causing the single car crash that hospitalized him on in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 26. Aldridge suffered a fractured skull and one unidentified fellow passenger suffered a broken collarbone. Other unidentified passengers were unharmed. Police would not elaborate on why they charged Aldridge with careless operation of a motor vehicle.

Aldridge, 19, was driving his 2008 Ford-250 with four passengers in the early hours of Sunday, March 26. They were returning home from a bachelor party for Aldridge’s cousin when they decided to go crabbing in Lake Bruin in Tensas Parish, Louisiana. While turning off for the Lake Bruin exit, the truck got onto the shoulder of the road and flipped.

Aldridge is still recovering from his injuries at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Fiancé Spears, 18, is reportedly at Aldridge’s beside. It is unknown whether their 10-month old daughter is with Spears or with family members. Spears, younger sister of singer Britany Spears and star of Nickelodeon’s hit pre-teen series “Zoey 101″, made headlines last year by becoming pregnant while underage.

Doctors report that they expect Aldridge to make a full recovery.
