Farrah Fawcett’s Cancer Battle Nearly Over
She fought numerous villains on “Charlie’s Angels” in the 1970′s, but vivacious and glamorous Farrah Fawcett is nearly finished her three year battle with cancer, report friends and family of the 62 year old blonde supermodel and actress. Her 91 year old father, James, is reported to have flown to her bedside in Malibu to say a final farewell.
Ryan O’Neal Speaks
Her long time husband, actor Ryan O’Neal, has even admitted to People magazine that Fawcett is in her final stages. For moths, Fawcett’s friends and family have been denying rumours that the star was dying, but O’Neal revealed to People that Fawcett was bedridden and could not keep down a liquid diet and can only get sustenance through IVs.
According to the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department, the famous couple paid over $1300 recently so that their only son, Redmond, could visit his mother in the company of deputies. He is currently incarcerated for drug-related charges. After the visit, Redmond told the press that his mother had dwindled to 86 pounds.
Story of the Struggle
Fawcett first faced caner in 2006, when she as diagnosed with inoperable anal cancer. She had aggressive treatments in California and Germany. After a mere four months of treatment, the star was declared well and she made numerous public appearances. But a few months later, during a check-up, it was clear to doctors that the cancer had returned and spread to her liver. The cancer in the liver was also considered inoperable.
In March, Fawcett had to be hospitalized for internal bleeding. She was discharged on April 9.
US television network NBC is airing a two-hour documentary on Farrah Fawcett called “Farrah’s Story” on May 15. The documentary was made mostly by Fawcett herself, using her own video camera. It will also feature interviews with O’Neal, fellow “Charlie’s Angel” Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson, her father and her doctors. Fawcett’s close friend Alana Stewart directed the documentary and did much of the filming.
It is not thought that Fawcett will survive to see the documentary’s premier.

I’ve been praying for Farah,….life doesn’t end here, I pray she knows Jesus.
God bless you Farrah and yor family.
We just found out on April 13, 2009 that our mother has anal cancer. She turned 67 years old a week later. They are not sure what to do. She has so much more medical problems that they are affraid to do chemo or radiation and she doesn’t want to do the surgery. It is very small right now. however we are waiting to hear back on the PET/Cat scan.
God bless you
Debra and family
She had a good and hard life, she worked hard for Women in her movies and showed the very dark sides of life and she will take that with her and will be appriciated when she passes to the other side. She should be at the head of the line for being a selfless human being. she will be missed, not for the poster but for the good person she is.
Love ya Farrah. You are a one of a kind. Never stop fighting. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Never a fan though she had the “look”, it’s her courage that has moved me as this plays out. And I don’t recall reading any bad press about her at all.
One of those stories that you wish would have a happier ending but there’s many, many more who are going through the same thing. Bless them all.
Farrah my prayers are with you and your loved ones. You are an Angel…God Bless you….
After seeing her story, I don’t ever want to complain about a sore muscle, a headache, a stomach ache..what pain is there..none compared to what Farrah has gone through. She, to me, is a hero and a cause to commit to helping to do more research. And to Ryan..what true love is all about! Wow..a commitment that you hardly ever see or hear about.
She had a purpose in life..from glamor to what real life illness can do to not just to ordinary people but to all, rich or famous. Yes, she had purpose and she will be honored. She has been chosen to share a reality. May she sit with the Angels and walk with the righteous.
And for Ryan to talk to Red and to say or ask..Will this turn you around..to do what is right in honor of your Mom.This is turely a love story too.
Our prayers are with Farrah and her husband and son as they struggle through this difficult journey. Farrah should set up a Cancer Foundation that focusses on the issues that are important to her . I will donate to her foundation and so will millions of other fans!! She has been an inspiration to all of us here on Earth and will continue to do so when she arrives in Heaven.
My prayers go out to you and your family , God bless you!!! you are a truly special human being I am wathing your story on tv and only can sit and see the strenght that you have , My brother had the same strenght you are truly special . STAY STRONG , LIVESTRONG !!!!
God bless you Farrah and all of yours
My mother died from colon cancer that spread to her liver as well as other parts of her body in a matter of a few years. She was only 32. She left behind 7 children ages 2-11. After less than 9 months, our father was remarried to our “wicked” step-mother. She would not allow us to speak of our mother or her cancer. I pushed it to the back of my mind, but never forgot. After 41 1/2 years, I heard about a documentary that would be called “Farrah’s Story”. I watched it. For the first time in over 40 years I actually felt what it was like to see someone suffering with cancer. I cried for what my mother went through and for what Farrah is going through. I mostly had an interest in her story based on my mother’s suffering. I have a clearer sense of what is was like 40 years ago thanks to “Farrah’s Story”. Although, back in the 60′s, there wasn’t very much they could do with cancer victims except to let them die and suffer greatly while doing so. I am amazed at Farrah’s courage to do this documentary. I only hope and pray she either recovers or passes on to live with God and leaves her horredous pain behind. I also hope that her family will straighten out themselves and make better choices in life and maybe be champions for the cure for cancer and help people and causes. Prayerfully, Pat
I always admired your physical beauty, but after seeing “Farrah’s Story” I see that you’re truely a beautiful woman, inside and out. So brave and strong. My thoughts and prayers are with you daily.
