Gerard Butler Facing Jail Time

Jacksonville – Gerard Butler (“300″, “P.S. I Love You” and “RocknRolla”) may be facing up to 6 months in jail for an incident which occurred back in October.

Butler has been charged with misdemeanour criminal battery for allegedly punching a photographer in the face. The alleged assault happened on the night of the premier for Butler’s film “RocknRolla”.

Butler was getting into a limo outside of the Crown Bar in Los Angeles around 2am when the altercation occurred. According to a source the photographer chased Butler while driving and snapping pictures and running at least one red light.

If convicted Butler could face up to six months in jail.

The arraignment is on June 10.
