Drake Only Wishes He Was Dating Rihanna

Toronto – Well that didn’t take very long.

As quickly as the tabloids cooked up a romance between Rihanna and Drake, the Toronto-based rapper has come out and denied he is the singer’s rebound.

Phoning in to New York’s Hot 97 this morning, a well-coached Drake fought off prying DJs Cipha Sounds and Paul Rosenberg to clear up the rumours. “It’s not like that at all,” he said. “I’m being honest. [She's] just a friend, that’s all. A great artist.”

This all comes after the New York Post published a story on its infamous Page Six, claiming the two were caught kissing all night long Monday night at NYC bowling alley Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge. A spy for the paper said “[Rihanna] was drinking whiskey and apple juice and making out with [Drake] all night. … They were really cute together.”

Though the DJs kept at him, a flattered Drake stuck to his defense, saying there was “nothing at all” going on, and that “I have the most respect for her. I think she’s so talented.”

Drake didn’t specify as to which of Rihanna’s talents he was referring to.
