Rihanna May be Forced to Testify Against Brown

It looks like we will finally hear Rihanna’s account of her alleged assault by Chris Brown on February 8.

According to Rihanna’s lawyer Donald Etra the prosecutors will most likely subpoena the 21 year-old pop star, forcing her to appear at the hearing on June 22. Etra said “The DA has advised me that she will be subpoenaed [to testify]. She absolutely will comply.”

Brown was arrested in February after he allegedly hit and chocked Rihanna and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

If proven guilty Brown could face up to four years, eight months in prison. When asked about Rihanna’s current condition Etra said “she’s doing fine. She’s monitoring closely the proceedings of this case.”
