New Twilight Trailer Hits The Web

The new trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, hits the web this week riding on the buzz from its teaser premier at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.

The hugely successful Twilight franchise has captured not only the hearts of countless teens but also the lion’s share of the night’s wins—claiming five awards including Best Movie.

The highly anticipated sequel to Twilight, directed in this installment by Chris Weitz, writer/director of The Golden Compass (2007), and About a Boy (2002), will again feature Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson reprising their roles as the supernaturally star-crossed lovers Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.

In the true Shakespearean tradition, due to a volatile misunderstanding and false rumors of an untimely death, Bella will fall in with a notably hairier crowd–Taylor Lautner as hunky werewolf Jacob Black–while Edward travels to Italy on a self-destructive mission in search of Aro, the mysterious leader of an ancient sect of vampires, played by Frost/Nixon’s Michael Sheen.
