Cruise & Abrams Back for Mission: Impossible 4
In an interview in TV Guide, J.J. Abrams has said that he will be producing the fourth “Mission: Impossible” movie.
He said “I am incredibly honoured that Tom [Cruise] has invited me back as a producer on “Mission Impossible 4”. Tom and I have come up with a really cool idea we are pursuing,”
Abrams directed and wrote the third movie in the franchise, “Mission: Impossible III”.
No word on whether he will be back to direct this latest movie. “Mission: Impossible III”, which like the other movies followed IMF agent Ethan Hunt, was released in May, 2006 and earned almost $400 million worldwide.
Abrams most recently produced and directed “Star Trek” which, since its release on May 7, has earned $222 million. No production date has been set for “Mission: Impossible 4”.
