Paula Abdul Most Likely Won’t be Back on American Idol
After weeks of rumours and speculation surrounding the return (or not) of Paula Abdul to “American Idol”, the judge’s manager has finally spoken up.
Manager David Sonenberg told the LA Times “She’s not a happy camper as a result of what’s going on. She’s hurt. She’s angry. I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful. I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven’t stepped up and said what they want to do,” he adds “Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on Idol.”
Fellow judge Randy Jackson has a contract extending through the 2011 season of the hit show while Simon Cowell is still in negotiations. New to the judges’ panel this past season, Kara Dioguardi’s future on the show is also up in the air. Host Ryan Seacrest just renegotiated his contract and now will make $45 million over the next three years making him the highest paid reality host on TV.
Paula thanked all of her supporters via her Twitter page writing “I’m actually moved 2 tears upon reading the enormous amount of tweets showing me your kindness, love, & undying support. God bless all of you! If it weren’t for you, this specific time and situation would feel a whole lot worse!”
