DJ AM Finally Laid To Rest

DJ AM had undigested painkillers in his system when he was found dead, it has been reported.

The 36-year-old celebrity DJ, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, had prescription pills in his stomach and one in his throat, a New York City official has said.

The official told The Associated Press that six pills were found in his stomach and that the pill in his throat appeared to be the powerful painkiller OxyContin.

The official didn’t know how strong a dose each pill contained. The official was familiar with the preliminary autopsy report released last week but was not authorised to talk publicly.

The DJ, who was once engaged to Nicole Richie and has been linked to Mandy Moore, was found dead in his apartment last week.

A crack pipe and prescription pill bottles were apparently discovered there.

Final autopsy results are pending.Since his death, the internet has been flooded with tributes from people such as Paris Hilton, Blink-182 and Jay-Z.

Goldstein was laid to rest Wednesday in a small private ceremony attended by family members and close friends.
