Actor Patrick Swayze Dies After Long Battle With Cancer
Some sad news to report.
Actor Patrick Swayze has lost his battle with caner.
Swayze, 57, had been battling pancreatic cancer for nearly two years.
“Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” said a statement released Monday evening by his publicist. No other details were given.
He came forward about his illness last spring, but continued working on his A&E TV series, The Beast while he underwent treatments.
It was 1987 when Swayze became a star with his performance in “Dirty Dancing,” a coming-of-age story set in a Catskills resort. The 1990 film “Ghost” cemented his status as a screen favorite.
Patrick Sways was 57.
