Kate Plus 8, TLC Cuts Jon

TLC has officially announced that Jon Gosselin will no longer be on the Jon and Kate plus 8 show. This is not a big surprise to the show’s audience. With the recent announcement of their divorce and public mud slinging, the Gosselins have become tabloid personalities. What was once a show about an American family working together to raise sextuplets and a set of twins, has now become an endless stream of tabloid gossip.

The show will be called Kate plus 8, beginning in November. The shows number of viewers has been declining steadily since the divorce was announced a couple of months ago. Jon Gosselin will make appearances in the new show, but not often. The show will be focused on Kate as the single mother, raising eight children.

Jon Gosselin has openly stated he was not happy having his life all over TV. However, his very public romances and other antics are always front and center on every tabloid in every grocery store. Jon Gosselin has been in a personal downward spiral for months now, and unfortunately all of it is very public.

A new lawyer representing Jon Gosselin has put a 90 day hold on the divorce proceedings, coincidentally the same day TLC made their announcement. The reason for asking for the 90 day suspension, was meant to be a peace treaty according to Gosselin’s lawyer Mark Jay Heller. Gosselin states he is sorry for his inappropriate behavior, and wants to be able to cooperatively work with Kate, in the raising of their children.
