After a 3 year relationship, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have split, according to reports.

A mutual friend of the couple tells Us Weekly, “It’s over,” and from what we hear, Justin did it over the phone! The friend goes on to say “It was about a month ago.”

Reportedly, Timberlake is the one that called off the relationship — over the phone about a month ago.

Sources report that while Timberlake was in New York showing his William Rast clothing line, that Timberlake was “clearly on the hunt.”

Maybe Justin Timberlake did kick Jessica Biel to the curb. But if he did, he’s gone back to dig through the trash. While Us and Star agree that Justin’s seeing other people (with Star name-checking Rihanna–more on that Friday), the pop star was seen with his significant other in Napa, California, on Monday night.

People’s sources say they didn’t break up, but even the magazine’s roster of sources is giving conflicting information. “They’re not breaking up,” one source says. “Any time they spend time apart it’s because they’re working.” Work like, say, the Emmys, which Justin attended without accessorizing his coattails with Jessica Biel.

Another source concedes to People that a breakup is one option on the table. “Things have been a bit up in the air recently,” a source says. “They’ve been spending more time apart–more time with each of their friends, and they’ve been reevaluating [their relationship].”
