Mark Wahlberg Heading to Iceland

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Mark Wahlberg is set to star in “Reykjavik-Rotterdam”, a remake of an Icelandic film of the same name.

The story centres on an alcohol smuggler turned security guard who after encountering financial problems is convinced by his friend to return for one last smuggling job.

The film will be directed and produced by Baltasar Kormakur who starred in and produced the original movie which is in the running for a Best Foreign Language Oscar this year.

Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce with Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson.

No production schedule has been announced for the film. Wahlberg is currently working on “The Other Guys” which is due out next August.
