Leona Lewis Shocked After Attack
Leona Lewis was punched in the head last Wednesday in London when she met her fans for an autograph session for her autobiography titled “Dreams.”
Her spokesperson explained that Leona signed autographs and posed for photos with fans when a man who was in the crowd approached her and struck her on the head.
The man, whose identity has still not been revealed, was quickly subdued by security officers of the library before being arrested by London police. The individual clearly disturbed repeatedly shouted “I love you Leona” while authorities tried to handcuff him. The singer was in tears immediately escorted to his car.
A witness said “[The attacker] walked up there with the book, she signed it and, as she looked up, he just punched her. She was running out with her hand over her eye and I just saw a man on the floor.â€
It is said that Leona Lewis was upset by the events and had to consult a doctor after the incident.
Although the singer has suffered no serious injury, her agent announced this morning that his client was still in shock and it should cancel the rest of his promotional tour for his autobiography which was to continue until Germany.
The singer of 24 years, however, take part in rehearsals for a show next week for a concert she will give the legendary Hackney Empire in London November 2.
Lewis is expected to released her second album titled “Echo” in November.
