Helen Mirren: A Lady In “Red”

Oscar winner Helen Mirren is set to join Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman in “Red”, an adaptation of the DC comic.

The story revolves around Paul Moses aka Red, a retired CIA agent (Willis), who’s forced back into his job after an assassin is sent to kill him.

Freeman will be the new leader of the CIA who assembles a team to get rid of Moses. Mirren will most likely be Red’s handler, the only person he’s kept in touch with after leaving the CIA.

“Red” is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura (“Transformers”, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”) and Mark Vahradian and is set to begin filming in January in Toronto and Louisiana.

The release date is scheduled for November 19, 2010.
