Charlie Sheen’s Christmas Arrest (PHOTO)

Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and menacing on Christmas Day in Aspen after a 911 call was placed from his home.

CNN reports that Colorado police released Sheen after the charges were laid; police said the alleged victim – who was not identified by authorities – did not require medical attention.

Website TMZ suggests that the fight was between Sheen and third wife, actress/real estate investor Brooke Mueller Sheen, and there was “physical contact”; at issue is “who started it.” The duo have twin sons who were born in March.

The 44-yeal-old actor was released from jail after posting $8,500 bail; he scheduled to appear in a Colorado court on Feb. 8.

Sheen’s spokesperson, Stan Rosenfield told the media not to jump to any conclusions about his client.

“Do not be misled by appearance,” Rosenfield said. “Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day.”
