Tiger not out of the woods yet
As Tiger Woods begins preparations for his return to the PGA Tour, the media frenzy that will be following him may be getting the scent of new blood in the water. After a late night car accident under questionable circumstances thrust Woods’ private life into the spotlight back in December 2009, the golfing great has been trying to weather the storm of allegations that have come out of the woodwork. Several women came forward claiming to have had affairs with the golfer, an allegation Tiger initially denied before admitting to extramarital affairs.
Now as Woods prepares to make his return at the Masters in Augusta, Georgia, another woman is coming forward claiming she had an affair with him. Vanity Fair magazine is publishing an interview with Mindy Lawton who claims that not only was she having an affair with Tiger but that his agent and inner circle knew about his wrongdoings. Lawton revealed in her interview that when the National Enquirer broke the news of Woods’ affairs, Tiger told her to call his agent Mark Steinberg. Upon contacting Steinberg Lawton was told “We’ll take care of it”. Another Tiger mistress, Jamie Jungers, told Vanity Fair that she would contact Woods’ childhood friend Byron Bell when she wanted to schedule meetings with the golfer.
Woods has attended rehab for a sexual addiction since admitting to his affairs in December and has made himself scarce in recent months. Aside from one press conference in Arizona, Woods has granted just two interviews, each five minutes long. In the interviews with ESPN and the Golf Channel, Woods claimed he acted without anyone else’s involvement, a statement that sharply contrasts what his mistresses recall in their interviews.

It seems that the media is determined to continue relentlessly haunting Tiger Woods and his family. The media has been acting beastly towards Tiger and his family, like a ferocious, rabid animal wanting to destroy them! There seems to be a kind of vindictiveness in the media that goes beyond high ratings and sales and I wonder what could be the reason for this? Tiger apologized to everyone and accepted that what he did was very wrong. Tiger said that he was very sorry and that he was making amendments. Tiger is trying to put his life back together and he has a right to do so. Tiger wants to save his marriage and family. Why is the media so much against this? Why the media cannot let Tiger and his family to move on with their life?
