Gary Coleman dead at 42: Brain hemorrhage
Gary Coleman, most known for his character as Arnold Jackson on Diff’rent Strokes, died Friday May 28th, 2010 at age 42. He was rushed to the hospital Wednesday, May 26th after he fell in his Provo, Utah home. He died from a brain hemorrhage in the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
Coleman’s agent John Alcanter confirms that he had been on life support after suffering a brain hemorrhage earlier this week. he was admitted to the medical center in critical condition. Gary Coleman’s family says that they are grateful for the prayers they have received while he has been unconscious on life support. At such a young age, they are sad to see him go, but say they are grateful that his passing was made easier for him due to being unconscious.
Coleman’s adult life was nothing to be looked at gratefully as he had several lawsuits, recriminations, and counter suits as he was had to sue his parents and a manager for stealing money from his trusts that was meant to support him in his older age as his health deteriorated beyond it’s already sad state. He won the suit against his parents even though they claimed that he was being brainwashed by his manager.
Gary Coleman’s was born with congenial kidney failure and had undergone two kidney transplants by the age of fourteen. While taping Diff’rent Strokes, he was also undergoing dialysis on a daily basis. His growth was severely stunted due to his kidney failure and he was often known as “television’s littlest big man”.
