Celine Dion Expecting Twins

Superstar songstress, Celine Dion, and her husband/manager, Rene Angelil, have happily announced they are expecting.

The family of three, which includes their nine year old son, Rene Charles, is about to become a family of five. Dion who is 42, and Angelil, 68, have been wanting another child for some time. Dion has gone through several rounds of in-vitro fertilization.

The success came with the sixth attempt. While hoping for one baby, they were “ecstatic” to hear that there would be two. Dion is about four months pregnant.

Sex of the babies will not be known until June. Sixth months earlier, Dion and Angelil were heartbroken when she had suffered a miscarriage. While on the Oprah show in February, Dion spoke of her miscarriage, saying, “It’s life. You know? A lot of people go through this, but it’s not being told because it is not in the newspapers.” While in a U.S, hospital trying to conceive, Dion missed the premiere of her new movie, “Celine: Through the Eyes of the World”. Presently, Dion is working on French and English albums.

She is to return to Las Vegas next year for a three year residency at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace.

Dion is the youngest of 14 children and comes from a musical family. Recording the song “Beauty and the Beast” for Disney was her first time on a U.S. stage. The song received a Grammy and an Oscar. After that, it was one hit after another for the talented singer.
