Nicole Richie Gets Probation Extended

Nicole Richie’s probation was extended on Tuesday by a Los Angeles judge.

The 28 year-old mother of two is still on probation after her DUI incident back in 2006 where she was spotted driving along a Los Angeles freeway the wrong way. She admitted to smoking pot and taking Vicodin before driving.

Richie was granted a leave of absence from her alcohol education classes, a condition of her probation, in order to raise her kids, Harlow, 2, and Sparrow, 9 months. The judge has extended her probationary period to March 2011 in order for Richie to have enough time to complete the classes.

Richie is engaged to Good Charlotte lead singer Joel Madden. No wedding date has been set yet.
