Britney Spears Turns Designer
You’d think that being the face of pop music would be enough, but Britney Spears has never been known to settle. Her latest project is acting as spokes-model and designer of a special edition clothing and accessories brand sold exclusively through the Candie’s clothing label.
Scheduled to premiere the 1st of July solely at Kohls, Spears shows enthusiasm about her line. Even though she has the capability to hire for her creations, she decided to be up-close and personal when it came to everything from sketches to consulting with Candie’s designers.
Spears wanted to make sure her line was her look, so she created from her own personal trends. As she told InStyle.com, “My personal style is a mix of comfortable and flirty. I love cute little dresses, but I also love comfy sweaters and jeans.”
Spears talked of what fans may expect from her line. “I used a lot of studs and lace because I wanted to make the clothes cool and edgy yet girly,” Then she spoke more personally as she added, “This collection really represents my personal style. I took pieces from my ‘Circus’ tour and pieces that I wear every day…I also love jeans, so I had to make sure there were some great pairs in the collection.”
A style any girl can wear and feel fabulous in. Her clothing are articles that look great, are wearable on any occasion, and are budget friendly. She said, “I wanted to design clothes that I would wear and my fans would wear. That was the most important thing to me. I wanted to make both daytime casual looks and fun dresses to go out in at night.”
It seems there no stopping this pop princess.
