Michael Douglas Cancer Battle – UPDATE

Actor Michael Douglas revealed his stage four diagnosis of throat cancer earlier this month.

Douglas, 65, and his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones knew something was wrong and complained that doctors did not find the cancer sooner. The later the stage of cancer, the more difficult it is to fight and contain.

Douglas’ type of cancer sometimes originates at the base of the tongue and is often not painful at the onset. He was told that this type of cancer is often caused by smoking especially in combination with alcohol consumption.
He and his family are hoping radiation and chemotherapy can help.
