The Ryder Cup 2010, Of Course It’s Raining

The 2010 edition of golf’s The Ryder Cup is underway at Celtic Manor in Wales.

It’s The United States against Europe at this competition that happens every two years.

The U.S. team is led by highly ranked players Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Steve Stricker.

Tiger Woods is hoping a strong performance in the Ryder Cup will make up for a disappointing year.

The European team is strong as well. Padraig Harrington, Luke Donald, and the young Rory McIlroy are hoping to bring the cup back to Europe.

The early play on Friday is being held up due to rain.

The big story early on is the U.S. team did not have proper rain gear. It was unusable and the team has had to purchase new gear from one of the merchandise tents onsite.
