CNN Fires Rick Sanchez

CNN Anchor Rick Sanchez Fired

CNN Anchor Rick Sanchez was fired from the popular news channel.

During an interview last week, Sanchez had asked during an interview whether or not Jews should be considered an oppressed minority. The following day, CNN stated that Sanchez no longer worked for the company. Sanchez apparently made several other comments on Jewish stereotypes, including that “Jews control the media.”

A bit of a squabble has also followed Sanchez’s release from CNN, when comedian Jon Stewart took some jabs at Sanchez over the incident. In rebuttal, Sanchez referred to Stewart as a bigot.

Sanchez had been with CNN since 2004.
