Michael Douglas Cancer Update, Actor Almost Done Treatment
Michael Douglas, who’s been fighting against throat cancer, will soon be finished with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
He is left with only one treatment and, as his friend and representative Allen Burry told People, no further treatment is expected after this week.
“He is really happy to finish,” said Burry.
Michael Douglas had to undergo a grueling treatment for eight weeks.
Although he had trouble swallowing to eat, the actor of 66 years was determined not to have a tube in order to eat.
Moreover, despite his treatment, he still had enough energy to take his 7 year old daughter, Carys to school and to promote his latest film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
Douglas is married to actress, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
