Parishioners and followers of Bishop Eddie Long of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia have said that they will continue to stand behind the pastor and support him amidst recent allegations that he sexually seduced four teenage boys.
Recently, billboards featuring Long next to text that suggested people “be like him” have caused a stir, dividing Atlanta residents.
Just last month, four men came forward with allegations that Long had seduced them into sexual relationships when each of the men were in their teams.
Each man has filed a separate lawsuit, claiming that Long had used his power and influence as a religious leader to entice the then teenagers into having sex with him.

Bishop Longs cousin is Revered Rondy Long, and says that Eddie has been rumored to be on the down low for years. He says he has warned him and others in the family about leading a double life, and they wouldnt listen……so as a minister of the true gospel he has distanced himself from them.
He also said that many years ago a young man tried to come forth and tell everyone what was going on and he got mysteriouly beaten up and disappeared from the scene. So it makes sense that other young gay men would keep quiet, out of fear.
I’m sorry to hear that the alleged acts have occured in the church. Pastors are to be above reproach and to have a good report from unbelievers. Prayerfully, the situation will lead belivers to truly study the word and to hold leaders accountable. We are to judge righteously. No saint is above reproach.
Even with video they still would find away to blame the boys.
They would say, look!! that kid is rapeing our pastor
