Tony Scott in for Top Gun Sequel
While promoting his latest movie, “Unstoppable”, Tony Scott confirmed that he’s on board for a sequel to “Top Gun”.
“Top Gun” starring Tom Cruise was released almost 25 years ago and was directed by Scott.
Paramount Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer will be working with Scott on the tentatively titled “Top Gun 2”. As for the storyline, Scott mentioned he was already doing his homework travelling to Nevada “I’m not waiting for a script. I’m going to do my homework. I’m going down to I think it’s Fallon, Nevada, down near New Mexico and it’s a whole different world now. These computer geeks — these kids play war games in a trailer in Fallon, Nevada and if we ever went to war or were in the Middle East or the Far East or wherever it is, these guys can actually fly drones. They are unmanned aircraft. They operate them and then they party all night.”
There has been no mention if Cruise, or any of the other stars, will return to reprise their roles.
