Beyond being very successful, the two musicians have also become very good friends. Because of this, there is much speculation as to why Rihanna was not in attendance at Perry’s recent wedding.

The main reasons why Rihanna was not able to travel to India for Katy Perry’s wedding to Russell Brand is because she was too busy working on an album. Rihanna also reportedly had told Perry that she did not know if she would be able to attend the wedding. There are reportedly no hard feelings between the two for the pop star’s absence.

Rihanna was able to take part in some of Perry’s marriage celebration earlier in the year.

Rihanna was there when Perry had her bachelorette party in Las Vegas in October.

Following the wedding Brand and Perry spent a few days in Maldives to celebrate their marriage.
