Former beauty queen Carrie Prejean has announced that she and her husband, Oakland Raiders quarterback Kyle Boller, are expecting their first child.

Prejean is due in May, on the birthday of her recently-deceased grandmother.

Prejean made headlines while reigning as Miss California in 2009 after answering a question regarding marriage of homosexuals during the 2009 Miss America pageant. Prejan responded that she believed marriage was between a man and a woman, and her answer sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry.

Later in the year Prejean was stripped of her title as Miss California due to failure to meet contractual demands, and has since been in court fighting a legal battle over the release of a sex tape in which she was the star.
