Robert Pattinson is Negotiations for Cosmopolis

Robert Pattinson is in negotiations to star in David Cronenberg’s next film titled “Cosmopolis”. If all goes well Pattinson will play the role of Eric Packer, a multi-billionaire finance man who loses a lot of money and becomes the target of assassins.

The movie will be based on the novel of the same name by Don De Lillo and it takes place over the course of a day in New York City.

Colin Farrell was originally being looked at for the role of Packer with Marion Cotillard; Cotillard is still set to star and Paul Giamatti may also play a role in the film. Pattinson first became known after he starred as Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” but his breakout role was as Edward Cullen in “The Twilight Saga”.

His next role will be alongside Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz in “Water for Elephants” due out in April.
