In a week that’s been plagued with celebrity deaths and political drama, Eddie Long has managed to resurface in the drama circuit.
Bishop Walker of True Light Pentecost Church in South Carolina has called Long a “bad influence” and has announced his intentions to charge the Georgia state capitol, calling for Long’s official resignation as the acting Pastor of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church near Atlanta.
Long was recently accused by several former members of his congregation of having seduced them sexually as teens.
Walker hasn’t let loose any details of the planned rally except to say that he intends to “support the integrity” of his faith.

Not only should Long be forced to step down, but radio hosts like steve harvey and tom joyner who make light of this case, who joke about it, should be forced to step down just like dom imus was forced to step down, Dr. Laura and so many others.
It is time for the black community to step up and demand accountability for the voices in our media. Ones who are paid to lead by example.
I agree with Pastor Luther Hickley’s response to this situation by using the Words of God. We (flesh) have our own opinions of WHAT happened and HOW it should end. Have we ever wondered WHY the media is involved and passing judgment before the trial (TRUTH)? WHO is able to judge wisely in this matter? WHERE are the people who have sinned and come short of God’s glory showing mercy? And WHEN this test is over, will we be able forgive and allow the power of God to heal, deliver and set free? This is a time for Christians and people of faith to pray for the young men and the minister.
