Later this month a rally will be held at Georgia state capitol to have Bishop Eddie Long step down as the leader of New Birth Missionary Church in Atlanta.
Bishop Prophet H. Walker from true Light Pentecost Church is leading the rally and talk show host/author Ruben Armstrong is writing a letter demanding he step down due to the alleged allegations currently against him.
The boys accuse Bishop Long engaged in sexual relationship with them and treated them extravagant gifts like; money, trips and cars.
Bishop Eddie Long has not been formerly charged but has refused to deny the allegations.
What Do You Think? Should Long step down?

I think he should stand before the congregation and the world and tell the truth. He doesnt have to avoid the allegations by denying them. He’ll be fine if he just tells the truth. At least he will have the blessings of the people and they will respect him. He will not have to step down. but if he lies and is caught in a lie, than yes he is not to be trusted and he should step down.
We all as society, should stop judging people and clean up our own dirty laundry. First off, none of us live in a glass houses. How in the hell can we condemn Bishop Eddie Long, when we all are sinners. People read your bible, come on now; who’s to say your pastor at your church is perfect. However, no one is perfect but God. I really disagree with the pastor from South Carolina going on with a rally on here say.The true facts haven’t came out on either side. I can only take pastor Eddie LONG words until he have his day in court.The Book Of Matthew tells me you consult your brother first and if he doesn’t listen, take someone else with you, then you bring him to the church. YOU ALL ARE FOOLS THAT JUDGES OTHER WITHOUT FACTS. WHY CANT WE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER. We all are going to fall short to glory if we don’t change our wicked ways. SUCH AS; SO CALLED PROPHET H.WALKER OF TRUE LIGHT HOUSE PENTECOSTAL CHURCH OF SOUTH CAROLINA, GOING ON WHAT THE MEDIA SAYS. YOU SUCH A HYPOCRITE. Tell me how is bishop long making churches looking bad when you all don’t know the true fact. I thought we suppose to know God for our selves. However, know man on earth are going to get us to heaven we have to seek god for our selves. THE BIBLE TELLS YOU THAT MEN WILL MIS LEAD YOU. SO PASTOR OF SOUTH CARLINA CLEAN YOUR DIRTY LAUNDRY. @ Miami…Its much easier for the dedicated church go-ers to believe innocence than accept doubt. The though of what if I’ve been following the advice of a man I deem holy is actually a sodomite hypocrite is too hard to swallow. These people who would rather hide under the sheets from the boogie man are the same types who ignore the signs their own child is being molested…. -ignore their husband/wife is cheating….ignore their pastor has an extravagant lifestyle that can only come from the collection plate you put your $ in faithfully. Its too unsettling for you to deal with the possibility that their are truly evil people in the world who lie, misuse us, and hurt our feelings even when we have been good Christians. People are not always loving, honest, trustworthy, or loyal. This is a fact. Why? Because at the cell of things we are all humans. That aspect of us is often left out when they teach us in kindergarten to be nice to others and in doing so they’ll be nice to us. People evolve. Things change. The sooner we embrace that, the less stressful life will be. The only thing constant until we die is our breath.Mr Long is not going to be consistent. Why? He is human. Does this mean he is guilty? No. Does this mean MAYBE he is? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I firmly believe that judging others is wrong. I also belive that if I am innocent, no man, no attorney, no human can keep me from saying I am “innocent”. please correct me if I am wrong. I have heard ” I am not a perfect man”. we all know that we are not perfect no matter what ppsition we hold. I too agree that Bishop Long should step down until this matter has been cleared up.
Instead of talking about Long stepping down, how about the parishioners seriously and prayerfully consider attending a different church? I think the Prophet and Mr. Armstrong should tend to their own flock/business or whatever. Neither of them to my knowlegde are affected directly. What do they get out of Long stepping down? Don’t they have enough going own in their own lives?
Um jimmy, we can condemn and judge him all the way because these “sins” that were committed were done so with children. 14 to 17 aren’t adults! So until we find out the truth I will continue to assume he’s a gay child- molester that’s homophobic, I’m a mom and I think always in a manner that is most safe for my kids; whether its true or not would you risk your teenage son with this man after hearing this information about EL? I wouldnt!
