Florida Mom Attempts To Sell Baby For $7,000 (PHOTO)

A South Florida mom is in trouble with the law after police say she tried to sell her baby boy for thousands of dollars.

Kenia Bosque told a judge that she and her children were living on $650 a month.

Prosecutors say that is why she tried to sell her 8-month-old baby for $7,000.

“And it’s really a sign of the tragic times because the economy is so bad for so many people that it’s just unimaginable, unspeakable that a mother would think to sell their child,” said Katherine Fernandez Rundle, Prosecutor.

Bosque was living with her children, including the one she was trying to sell. The apartment manager says she was behind on her rent and scheduled to move out this week.

“She was renting here for four months,” Raul Cordarvo, the apartment manager. “The first two months she was fine and then she began having money problems.”

Police say Bosque had arranged to sell her child to a Monroe County person. She gave the buyer, who was working with authorities, her address to pick the child up. Her neighbors are in disbelief.

Bosque’s children are with family members while she is in jail.
