Nicole Kidman as The Danish Girl

Variety announced that Nicole Kidman is set to star in the “The Danish Girl” from Tomas Alfredson, director of “Let the Right One In”.
Kidman is in for the lead role while Charlize Theron has dropped out of the film.
“The Danish Girl” is a true story about Einar Wegener/Lili Elbe, the first man to have a full sex-change back in 1930.
Theron was going to play Einar’s wife.
Lili died in 1931 after complications from her fifth surgery which was to give her a working uterus and make motherhood a possibility.
Kidman will produce the film with Per Saari.
