Fight Breaks Out in Twilight New Moon Featurette

Twilight fans all over the world are anxiously awaiting the release of the next Twilight movie installment New Moon. To fan the flames of desire, a featurette has been released on MySpace that details a face off Edward Cullen has with the Volturi.

In the Twilight universe, the Volturi are the oldest known coven of vampires. Viewed as royalty, they wield tremendous power as enforcers of the laws that govern their society. To illustrate this, the short movie opens with one of the Volturi administering justice by breaking the neck of an offending vampire.

“They keep everything in order amongst their kind,” explains actress Dakota Fanning who plays Jane, a self-proclaimed minion of the Volturi.

The featurette introduces us to Aro, Marcus and Caius, the leaders of the Volturi as well as secondary characters: Jane, Alec, Felix and Demetri. Viewers are also treated to a behind the scenes look at a fight that breaks out between Felix and Edward.

“He doesn’t have a hope in hell of winning the fight,” says actor Robert Pattinson who plays Edward.

David Cudmore, who plays Felix, describes his character as being brutally animalistic and powerful. In several scenes, Felix is shown throwing Edward around like a rag doll with Edward doing his best to stay alive. In one particularly gruesome shot, Felix reaches behind himself, grabs Edward and slams him on some marble steps. Unfortunately, fans are going to have to wait until the movie hits theaters before they find out if Edwards wins.
