George Clooney Set for Descendants

According to Variety, George Clooney is adding another movie to his schedule. This time he’s teaming up with “Sideways” writer/director Alexander Payne to make “The Descendants”, a film about a wealthy landowner attempting to keep his family together by taking his two daughters on a mission to find his wife’s lover.

The screenplay is written by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash and is based on a novel of the same name by Kaui Hart Hemming. Filming begins in February in Hawaii.

This will be Payne’s first film since “Sideways” in 2004. Clooney has been keeping very busy and can next be seen in “The Men Who Stare at Goats” out in theatres on Friday.

He also has “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and “Up in the Air” both due out this year and is currently working on “The American”.
