Rumors of a “Jersey Shore” movie have recently surfaced on the internet but they are quickly proving to be false, MTV has no plans of making a movie based around the popular show. The shows popularity has fueled the rumors as America’s obsession with the show and its cast continues.

The show “Jersey Shore” scored the highest ratings ever for MTV last Thursday, according to Broadcast Newsroom the show’s finale pulled in 4.8 million viewers.

After the rumor started several fake trailers for the movie surfaced on YouTube and other video streaming websites, most were created by enthusiastic fans of the show.

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson created a fake trailer featuring real actors including Thomas Lennon, Mila Kunis and Nick Lachey playing the parts of the housemates. The video is meant for comedic purposes and in no way seems like a real trailer, it also includes host Craig Ferguson as Mario.

Fans of the show will have to hope for at least another season, according to TMZ certain cast members had yet been signed for a second season. Contract negotiations had a deadline of midnight on Monday Jan. 25th and it hasn’t been determined if the entire cast will be back for the second season.
