Michael Jackson Sued Over Thriller

Michael Jackson is being sued by director John Landis, the creator of the video for his song Thriller. Landis directed and co-wrote the video and is now claiming that Jackson has failed to pay him fifty percent of the profits over the last four years.

Landis has accused Jackson of fraudulent, malicious and oppressive conduct, and his lawyer insists that suing was a last resort. He said “I can’t understand what they are doing to John Landis’ company. It is such a straight-ahead thing. It makes no sense at all to me.”

Jackson is currently working on a Broadway musical based around the Thriller video which Landis is also trying to put a stop to until this is settled and he gives it the go ahead. There havent been any comments made by Jacksons rep regarding the lawsuit.
