American Idol: Adam Gets Funky While Lights Out For Megan

Wednesday, 01 Apr 2009

Los Angeles – If you had the chance to catch last night’s episode of American Idol, there is no doubt that you are thinking the same thing I’m thinking: Lil’ Rounds’ kids are so cute! Honestly, they are adorable. The smallest one said that she was going to punch Randy for giving her mom a bad review, then hugged him for like three minutes. Okay, on to the performances…

Speaking of Lil’ Rounds, I think everyone expected her to have a great week this week since she hasn’t quite hit the mark for the past two weeks. However, she chose a Celine Dion song that was nothing short of a train wreck. She really needs to bring back the Lil’ that America fell in love with at the beginning of the show.

Last night really was the battle of bad performances by everyone except Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. They are both so talented at taking a song and making it their own. There are now two new relevant versions of old songs because of these guys.

By far the most disappointing performance of the night was Matt Giraud. He would be so good if he would just embrace the Justin Timberlake side he has, instead of trying to be a rocker. Last night, unfortunately, he put the rocker hat back on and gave it another run for old times. He was not successful.

Who’s going home tonight? My picks for the bottom three are Scott MacIntyre, Megan Joy and Anoop Desai. However, Scott and Matt are somewhat even, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Matt in the bottom three again this week.

Next week will see the top 8 Idols perform songs songs from the year that they were born.
