Farrah Fawcett’s Anal Cancer Battle: Update

Monday, 11 May 2009

Los Angeles – Farrah Fawcett is in the end stages of her battle with cancer, according to her partner Ryan O’Neal. In the last couple of weeks she has become completely bed ridden is is preparing for her death. They have said that she has asked all treatments to end and she will only be given an IV to ensure she is getting nourishment in these final days.

She has lost all of her beautiful hair that made her so popular, but, Ryan O’Neal says that she is okay with that. He said that now he sits at her bedside and rubs her head all day long.

At the time being, there are cancer specialists flying in from Germany who might suggest experimental treatment, but it is unknown whether anything else will be attempted. Fawcett, who suffers from anal cancer, has accused the press of making her last years with the cancer even more difficult because they’ve invaded her privacy. Ryan O’Neal has said that she is a very private woman who would have preferred staying out of the spotlight these last few years. However, Fawcett, a former sex-symbol of the 70s and 80s has been unable to find any privacy. It is even alleged that someone from the UCLA facility where she received some treatments was leaking information about her condition to the press. The allegations are unproven.

Farrah Fawcett is 62 years old and was a former Charlie’s Angel. Her father who is 91 years old is flying to her bedside.

  4. Farrah and Ryan:
I don’t know you, you don’t know me, but I know who you are. I have recently followed your lives via your reality show back in 2006 and now the documentary regarding Farrah, your cancer. I know personally how difficult it is to lose a loved one from terminal illnesses. I’m with you both and I hope you find some comfort somewhere through all this hell….Farrah, you did so well on your documentary and how you handled such an ordeal. I commend you, your family and your friend who produced such a wonderful diary of what you have been through. I have tears in my eyes because I feel because of all this exposure of your lives, I got to know you both, your family and friends.
Take care and I hope you have comfort and peace always
    Betsy

  5. Farrah,

I used to spend hours a day in the 70′s trying to get my hair to look like yours. You were truly someone to look up to and I still do. You were very brave to share your cancer and treatment via television. And you know what? You are still beautiful hair or no hair. Call on Jesus.. He will hold you close. This life here is not the end but only the beginning. You will get your hair back, your laughter and all tears and sorrow will be wiped away. Trust in Jesus…

Lovingly you are in my prayers,
    Raechel

  6. Farrah,

My heart is breaking for you…I can only hope I can be as brave, and beautiful, if I am diagnosed with a fatal illness.. You are fortunate to have your Dad with you..Your Mother and Sister are anxiously awaiting you in Heaven, when that time comes..I still believe in miracles..I am praying for your miracle…God loves you, and so do I…
    Love and hugs,
    Mary

  8. Farrah, Ryan, family, and friends, I first saw you in a tooth paste commercial and thought wow! she’s gorgeous, Then you ended up on charlies angels ( my girlfriends and I never ever missed watching) You were and still are one of my favorite stars…even tho my boyfriend [at that time] always said he’d drop me like a hot potato if you ever knocked on his door :o ) He’d probably would have just stood there with a silly look on his face and not have said one word.
However even tho you don’t know me, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
You will be remembered for ALL time, and our love is with you.

  9. my heart, my love, and especially my prayers go out to you.
