Stone Roses Reunion In The Works?
That is, if you believe in rumours and magicians. A magician going by the name Dynamo just happens to beStone Roses‘ lead singer Ian Brown’s BFF, and showed British tabloid The Sun a text from Brown himself saying “We are going to rule the world again. It’s happening.”
So it wasn’t magic magic. It was the magic of technology and text messaging.
All weekend long rumours were churning out about a reunion. Friday saw a major music publicist refusing to deny or confirm that Tuesday, October 18th would mark the much anticipated announcement of a Stone Roses’ reunion.
And lets throw in two more rumours just to support the theory all these rumours are pointing in the right direction:
Drummer Alan ‘Reni’ Wren also threw his own hints for an upcoming reunion to NME, sending them the “cyptic” message “Not before 9T will I wear the hat 4 the Roses again“.
The Sun also reported a source claimed Elbow frontman Guy Garvey confirmed the reunion too, saying “Guy was talking to friends about how the original line-up had been rehearsing over the summer in Manchester.”
Let’s see tomorrow if we were right to believe, or fools for hoping!
