Farrah Fawcett On Her Death Bed: Reports
Los Angeles - Actress Farrah Fawcett, who has been battling cancer for almost three years, has been admitted to hospital in critical condition.
The former Charlie’s Angels star was hospitalized on Thursday, reports People magazine, and is said to be unconscious but stable after checking into an unknown medical centre in Los Angeles.
According to one friend, the former sex symbol may be nearing the end.
“She’s a fighter, but we get the sense she knows the end is coming,” says one friend of Fawcett’s. “But we’re all still praying for a miracle.”
“She doesn’t want this becoming a circus, so we (her friends and family) wanted to keep her hospitalization quiet. We were as surprised as anyone when it turned up in the press,” says the friend.
Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in September 2006. She declared she was cancer-free four months later, but the disease returned in May 2007.
The 62-year-old recently travelled to Germany to undergo experimental stem-cell treatment.
Her long-term partner Ryan O’Neal is reportedly at her bedside, as well as their son Redmond, who quit his stint in a California rehab centre on Wednesday after allegedly failing a drug test
