David Archuleta’s Father Charged with Soliciting a Prostitute

American Idol contestant David Archuleta’s father was arrested by police in January for soliciting the services of a prostitute. Sergeant John Salazar stated that Jeff Archuleta was caught during a sting operation on a massage parlor called Queens of Reiki. The parlor turned out to be a front for a brothel and Archuleta was cited with a misdemeanor for patronizing the services of a prostitute. The “American Idol Dad” was found in a secret back room with a woman who was arrested as well, and charged with prostitution.

He later plead no contest to the charge and was given a 582 dollar fine. Archuleta’s lawyer, Eric Bauer, stated that his client was a first time customer of the massage parlor and went there for a persisting back problem. However, the arresting officer Sergeant John Salazar stated that under questioning, Archuleta said that he found the massage parlor on Craig’s List and that he had received sexual services from an employee.

David Archuleta’s representative when questioned about the incident simply said that David was preparing for his upcoming tour with Demi Lovato and that David thanks his fans for their continued support.
