Celebs React To Kanye West Taylor Swift At VMA’s
Kanye West’s outburst has become the choice water cooler topic since Sunday’s MTV VMAs. After stealing the moment from Taylor Swift, Kanye appeared on the inaugural episode of The Jay Leno Show to apologize before performing with Jay-Z and Rihanna.
“It’s been extremely difficult… Just dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took anything away from a talented artist or from anyone, because I only wanted to help people my entire life, I’ve only wanted to give and do what I felt was right,” he told Leno.
“And I knew immediately in this situation that it was wrong. It wasn’t a spectacle, it was actually someone’s emotions that I stepped on. It was rude. Period. And I’d like to apologize to her in person.”
He also admitted when he realized what he did was wrong, which was
“As soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn’t keep going…”
Kanye added that he now needs to straighten himself out. “After this, I need to just take some time off and analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve, because I am a celebrity and that’s just something I’m going to have to deal with.”
Leno managed to get a dig in though by asking ‘Ye what his late mother would think of his actions. West managed to both dodge the question with an unrelated answer and hold back tears.
Before Leno, though, Kanye was on his blog and posted two apologies, the first of which has since been removed.
In the second apology, Yeezy wrote: “I feel like Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents when he messed up everything and Robert DeNiro asked him to leave… That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”
The incident has become such a fiasco that everyone is weighing in on it – including Obama. According to NBC reporter Terry Moran, the President was overheard calling West a “jackass” during an interview with CNBC.
Plenty of other celebrities have also commented on the matter, including Katy Perry, Lauren Conrad, and Pink, who went so far as to call Kanye “the biggest piece of sh*t on earth.”
Former chart nemesis 50 Cent also gave his 2 Cents on West’s screw up when he stopped by MuchMusic yesterday. Asked what he would have done had West sabotaged his acceptance speech, Fiddy said “I’d have punched him, made his eye black, all kinds of stuff. It would have been different. He wouldn’t have gone up to say that, no.”
It’s a good thing Taylor Swift didn’t have the temper of Fiddy…

i think that taylor swift deserved to win that award and that even if if someone thought that someone eles had a better video, it was taylor who won.
kanye west was a jerk at that moment, and there is nothing that can justify his actions. he is acting like he is truly sorry and that he really wants to change, but like i said”acting”. i doubt he feels that bad about it and im sure that his days of trash talking people ar not over.

Kanye did not want to do what he did.He was obligated under the code when charged by Jay-Z to do it.Jay-Z is of much higher degree then Kanye.This act was not for money I feel it was more of a punishment for Kanye.What a harsh punishment.Well,if I were Kanye that would be my option also.Either what he did or a tragic accident of some sort to happen on his life were he’s killed and no one is ever found at fault because they were killed also in the accident and take full responsibility for what happened.Entertainers do fly on alot of personal aircrafts.Caught in a game and locked under a code no escaping from.Choices we make fa the road to riches and diamond rings.

First, it was the VMA’s. From the same people who brought you Beavis & Butthead, Biodome, and Jackass. I mean we’re not talking about the classiest organization out there. Swift will be at the Grammys and Yeezy will watch it on TV. Second, what do you expect when you gather the most narcisstic people in America into one room, allow them to drink entire bottles of ah ah ah ah alcohol, group them into nominees, then pick a winner. This was way overdue. Congrats MTV, maybe next year you can do a celebrity Gauntlet.
